What is a Moon transit?

A Moon transit (Chandra gochar) is the Moon's ongoing movement through the twelve signs. Because the Moon changes sign about every two and a quarter days, its transit is the fastest and most day-to-day of all the planetary movements.

Why read the Moon transit from my birth Moon sign?

In Vedic astrology the Moon's position relative to your natal Moon (the house from the Moon) gives the traditional daily disposition. That is why the same day can feel different for two people — it depends on where the Moon transits from your own Moon sign.

Do I need my birth time?

Your birth date and place are enough for the Moon transit reading. An accurate birth time makes the underlying chart and your current dasha more precise.
